Leaving the house this morning Sue, the better half, spotted a swarm of wasps flying round our roof. They were darting in and out of an air brick. After checking our local press for pest control companies I wondered if our house insurance may cover it. Yeah !!! It does. So it’ll be sorted Monday. Today’s poem is dedicated to the wasps and the insurance compant.
For once, insurance pays off
Wait… Can I hear buzzing sounds?
Flying insects, hooped yellow rounds
Hovering, in and out they frequent
Up high, below the roof, our air vent
Not one or two, but a swarm
Strange, weather’s not yet warm
Stinging wasps, they’re such a pest
Thankfully, for once we’re blessed
House insurance it’ll sort it
Sending a ‘professional outfit’
Through the window I’ll watch and stare
Comfortably from my armchair
